Falling Rocks and Firepit Safety
If you are brave and enjoy heights, there are gyms with indoor climbing walls that are designed to resemble rock walls in the outdoors.
Climbing skills can prove to be important when losing a Frisbee on top of the canopy of the redwood deck. This isn’t worth the time or effort or cost. Moms and dads SHOULDN’T get into circumstances in which they tell their kids, “Do not ever do what I’m going to right now.” Sometimes, your decisions are based in the moment, and you do not consider the long term implications that your actions can cause. You are practically asking for a Darwin award. Discourage your kids from copying anyone who licks a sharp knife. Do not put your hand through a candle flame. And by all means, don’t practice your climbing skills anywhere near your outdoor fire pit.
Fancy lingo and specialized equipment will not help at that time. To use the technique of belay is to have a person control the amount of rope as you make your way through the mountain. This will not go well. One should not do it. Once you are in your climber’s harness and halfway up the side of your canopy with a buddy standing by, the heat from your fire pit will blast you in the face. You will not like the results if the wrong instructions are relayed.
{If you are a rebellious climber, you may have gazed inside the gates of refineries and convoluted-looking industrial facilities.Crazy climbers may have considered more dangerous locations such as industrial parks with large silos.}But these are all private property places. If you have an indignant attitude about the oil and gas multinationals, you probably should not go inside. Sneaking in to private property can get you arrested.
Also, if you thought it was disorienting to be blasted in the face by heat from your own consumer fire pit, remember that processing plants use fire pits with much higher temperatures and are therefore much more disorienting.
Avoid unnecessary danger by climbing only in designated parklands or indoor climbing-wall facilities. Never climb close to your fire pit or any fire pit that doesn’t belong to you.
